DOCTRINAL ISSUES FACING THE CHURCH TODAY

DOCTRINAL ISSUES FACING THE CHURCH TODAY

Heb.4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and intents of the heart."

And your beliefs are?

What....Do you believe? Why....Do you believe it? Where...Do your beliefs come from?

ISSUE #1:

IS GOD SOVEREIGN & ALWAYS IN CONTROL OR DOES HE GLADLY SHARE HIS SOVEREIGNTY?

Websters Dictionary defines Sovereign as: SUPREME POWER

DAN.4:35 "And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand or say unto Him, What Doest Thou"
1 CHRON.29:11"Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is Thine; Thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and Thou art exalted as Head above all"
ISA.14:24 "The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:"

As proclaiming Christian Churches today move further away from absolutes and towards whatever...The teaching and understanding of God's Total Sovereignty (which until recent years was taught in the pulpits) has become almost as extinct as the dinosaur...Parishioners would be running for the nearest exits if Pastors were to dare teach the following:

God is the Sovereign Ruler of the universe.
That all things are either allowed or ordained by His Sovereign Hand.
That before the foundations of the world, He created a Plan.
This Plan cannot be change or stopped by the actions or
non-actions of His creatures.

To teach and believe these things would mean we are giving God the right to be God...The problem is we love to play the part ourselves...And for this reason God's Soverign right to be God has been challenged by Satan, by Adam and Eve, and now by His proclaiming Church...To say that God has the right to do what He pleases for no other reason than it pleases Him to do so...To say that everything God does is Just, Good, Fair, and Righteous just because He does it...Does not fit our finite wants, ways and thoughts...Yet, we know that God's word says ISA.55:8"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord"...
The Sovereignty of God is the most important doctrine a Christian can understand... It defines the true Character of God...It effects how we interrupt the scriptures, and is the very foundation of our Christian theology...It should truly sadden our hearts and anger our spirits to see how the Church of today has blasphemed the truth of Who God Is and What He Has Done...The Church has turned God into an impotent wimp, who should be pitied rather than esteemed...A God Who's will cannot be accomplished because of the interference of His created beings...They teach that God the Father purposed or willed all men to be saved...That the Son died for all men...That the Holy Spirit draws (woos...a kind of love begging)all men.... The following are examples of scriptures used to come up with those teachings:
  1. JN.3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life"...
  2. 1TIM.2:3,4 "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."...
  3. 2PET.3:9"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."...
  4. JN.6:44"No man can come to me except the Father draw him"...
Many scriptures also teach a Hell and there are many people who die with unforgiven sins...But if this is not in God's will or plan...Then how must it make the Godhead feel...VERY FRUSTRATED...In most cases: The Father's plan was a failure...The Son's sacrifice unfulfilled...The work of the Holy Spirit useless...When asked about these obvious failures..Proclaiming believers including pastors are quick to placed the blame on Satan or Man's free will...So one could only deduct by these answers that either Man or Satan has a stronger will than God's... Giving them The Supreme Power and making them Sovereign..

We believe this is not the God of the Scriptures... We believe our God is always in control and doesn't share His Sovereignty with mankind or Satan...We believe that His plan is right on schedule and He will accomplish all that He purposes...We believe the misinterpretation of Key Words in scriptures by the Church has changed God's Sovereign Plan...

  1. JN.3:16..."THE WORLD"...Does not mean all individuals, but is a generic term for Mankind...His created beings...All mankind are born enemies of God deserving of eternal punishment...Because of His love for His created humans He made a way to give some of them reprieves and life eternal with Him...The scriptures say that He gives temporal blessings to all mankind...The just and unjust while they are here on earth...One is MT.5:45 "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just on the unjust."...However, His Eternal Everlasting Covenant is reserved for only thoses He chooses to receive it...RO.9:11-13 "For the children being not yet born, neither have done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election, might stand, not of works, but of Him that called; It was said unto her, The older shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."...This shows God's consious choice of where He places His affections....In this case first by indiviuals... Eventually resulting in nations...He also says in RO.9:15 "For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion"...Who will receive these affections and mercies is not based on works, wills, or the deserving attributes of anyone...Just on His good pleasure and for this He will receive all glory...
    "BEIEVETH IN HIM"...
The question is what does one believeth in Him...Just to believe that Jesus is God won't do...Satan and His angels believe that...Just to say He died for your sins isn't enough...Every major cult that claims the name of Jesus believes that...The truth lies in knowing He is God and knowing what He did to take away sins...Despite popular belief there is but one correct answer which is understood only by those who are His...MT.7:13,14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."...For us it is a nice thing to be called "narrow minded"...
  2. 1TIM.2:3,4 "ALL MEN"...If you were to read 1TIM.2:2 you would fine that Paul is talking about kings and those in authority...So the "ALL"in V.4 is referring to all types of people...Paul is certainly not referring to all people that ever lived...God is not a respecter of men..He chooses from the poorest to Kings and men of authority...Perhaps even some of those who had Paul in prison at the time...ACTS.10:34 "Then Peter opened His mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:"
  3. 2PET.3:9 "NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH"...We know that many are going to perish...So the "ANY" that God is talking about is not every individual...It is all of those He predestine before the foundation of the world to be saved by Him...Their salvations is secure in His Hands...Also, He will not return a minute early...He waits patiently until all of those have been born and are brought to Him...RO.9:22,23 "What if God willing to shew His wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fited to destruction: And that He might make know the riches of His glory of the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory."
  4. JN.6:44 "DRAW HIM"...The Greek word draw in this verse has the same meaning as in JN.21:6 "And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to DRAW it for the multitude of fishes."JN.4:7 "There cometh a woman of Samaria to DRAW water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink." In all three cases the word DRAW means to drag...It should also be obvious to all that neither the fish nor the waters were partners in the endeavor or their ultimate fate...The person or persons doing the drawing is in total control...

Our prayer for you as we continue on with more issues...Is that God would bring you into a complete and true understanding of His Total Soveignity...
